Q. How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP by confirming your room reservation here . We will obtain our guest list from Yellow Umbrella Events directly.

Q. When is the RSVP date?

Monday, December 5th, 2022, is the deadline to get an available room in the room block. A payment equal to 1-Room Night is all you need to reserve your room.

Any reservations requested after that date have to be requested with the resort. Room availability and contracted rates are not guaranteed.

Q. Can I bring a guest or guests with me?

Since we are limited on the amount of guests who can attend our very intimate wedding, the event is invitation-only. Please contact Malia and Ryan if you would like to bring a guest or have any special requests. All invited guests are more than welcome to bring additional travel companions and friends to enjoy the vacation with us. Yellow Umbrella Events can arrange travel for these additional friends and family members coming to vacation, but not attending the event.

Q. Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Q. What is the dress code?

Resort Cocktail or Island Chic. Our ceremony takes place on a beach!

Q. What are the suggested travel dates?

We want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy their VACATION :) . Please feel free to arrive as early in advance as you'd like and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like. Enjoy yourself, and VACATION :)

There is a 3-night minimum for this room block but you have the option to arrive early or stay later. You can select your dates when you fill out the reservation form.

Q. What is the Deposit & Payment Schedule?

A payment equal to 1-Room Night is all you need to reserve your room.

50% of your room reservation total is due by Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).

Full payment of your trip is due by Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).

Additional payments towards your balance can be made at any time (monthly) by contacting Shea before the final payment is due. Shea's contact information and room block reservations are made hereï»ż

Q. When is the final payment due?

Full payment of your trip is due by Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 (The resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation if payment is not made by this date).

Q. Do I have to book it with Yellow Umbrella Events?

Yes, we request that all guests only utilize our dedicated planner and travel coordinators, Cheryl and Shea, as it will help us to keep the entire group organized and included in our planned group activities and informed of logistics and frequent updates. Everyone will receive a group discount, so you’ll always pay less than the internet by using Yellow Umbrella Events, and most importantly, you will receive concierge level service from them. Additionally, Yellow Umbrella Events has flexible payment plans, making your travel arrangements even more affordable and convenient.

Q. What does “All-Inclusive mean”?

All-Inclusive resorts offer: All you can eat (gourmet restaurants and buffets), All you can drink (alcohol, mixed drinks, daiquiris, and non-alcoholic beverages), Entertainment (the resort will have daily and nightly activities including shows and a night club), Water Sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, and other non-motorized water sports are typically included), Room Service includes 24-hour room service of food.

Q. What if my potential travel companion (roomie) is TBD, unknown at this time, or not ready to book?

Time waits for no one :) Book without them and add them to your reservation at a later time. Since prices and availability are subject to change, be sure to reserve the room for just yourself by December 5th, 2022, and we can add them when they are ready. Solo occupancy hotel rates are sometimes higher than double occupancy. When we add your travel companion in the future, you'll recognize the double occupancy savings. Rates are refreshed at the time future changes are made.

Q. Will there be any other events during the weekend that I should prepare for?

Yes. Please stay tuned for further information as the trip approaches.

Q. Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Yï»żes! Once you provide Yellow Umbrella Events with your flight information, they will be able to coordinate transportation to/from Cancun Airport for you and your party.

Q. Which airport I should arrive/depart ?

When searching for flights, the airport you are flying to is Cancun International Airport (CUN).

Q. When should I book my flight? What is the best way to find good flight deals?

We suggest that each guest book their flights sooner rather than later. The later guests wait to book their flights, the higher the risk for future cancellation or flight price increases. All guests must input their flight details . Yellow Umbrella Events Travel will arrange transportation for group you and your group HEREï»ż

We suggest setting up flight alerts. Our favorite is Google flights because it includes a wider range of airlines. Use search engines to find the best deal, but remember to book the flight itself directly via the airline to maximize your flexibility if your plans were to change. We also suggest using the Hopper app.

Q. Do I need to have my passport prior to making my deposit for the trip?

Passports are required at the time of travel. As long as you provide Yellow Umbrella Events with your full legal name, you can arrange travel in advance. Instructions to apply for passports can be found here. Please allow 8-12 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility". If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees.
